Fire Alarm Design and Installation

We can design and install a new system according to the requirements laid out in BS5839-1:2017, or modify an existing system depending on your requirements.  Our fully trained engineers can install a variety of conventional and addressable systems, including setting up various devices to suit the needs of the building and it's users (e.g. flashing beacons or pagers for users with specific needs).

BK Fire are trained installers for a number of manufacturers, including Hyfire, Kentec, Advanced, EDA and EMS.  We are also authorised partners for Hyfire radio wireless systems and will be pleased to discuss the merits of a wireless system with you.

BK Fire are experienced in complex design requirements such as panel networking for multiple buildings on a site, connecting sites to an ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre), cause and effects such as phased evacuations and lift grounding.

Fire Alarm Maintenance

Maintenance of fire alarms should only be carried out by a competent person, as per the Regulatory Reform Order (Fire Safety) Order 2005.  Our engineers can carry out system maintenance visits at times to suit you.  All our service contracts comply with UK legislation and meet the requirements of British Standards, including BS5839-1:2017, BS9999:2017 and other relevant guidance.

We offer

  • Free advice on your system to ensure compliance with current regulations
  • Full visit reporting and recommendations
  • A free logbook on site for viewing by any local or fire authority
  • A 24-hour, 365 day-a-year callout facility to resolve any issues as soon as possible
  • Advice on preventative maintenance, modifications and extensions to your system as required.

There are a number of legal and guidance documents that relate to fire safety and maintenance of non-domestic premises.  We can ensure that you fulfil your obligations under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and avoid you having to plough through all the documentation relevant to your premises.
